Our story: Crafting joy and purpose

Pretties With Purpose Stationery & Treasures ultimately began years ago. My mother gave me gifts for Christmas such as pastels, paint by number, jewellery making and macrame kits, etc. She taught me how to knit and operate a sewing machine. She asked her mother to teach me how to needlepoint as that was her specialty.  I discovered pieces of fabric for a quilt my father's mother had in a trunk in our farmhouse upstairs hallway.  It was an ongoing passion project of one sort or another. I explored practically every craft that was in fashion and not. I created for myself and for friends. The true inspiration however, came from a desire to contribute to a larger cause. Becoming aware of Cancer Bites , initiated by a schoolmate currently living through cancer, an organization that sends gift packages to women with cancer, I wanted to contribute. I wanted women to enjoy my gifts to them.  I hoped that I could at least bring a momentary smile to someone who really needed it. Hence Pretties With Purpose Stationery & Treasures. I love to craft but have only so much space to keep creations for my own enjoyment. So...they are yours. Enjoy.
